A. THE BASIC THEORY OF HUMAN
BODY ENGINEERING SCIENCE
On Page 809 of the Great Dictionary (Volume
III of 1989 Edition and published by Shanghai Encyclopedia Publishing House), Human System
Engineering Science is described as "A new and developing comprehensive branch of
learning. A course to conduct comprehensive research on the human system structure,
functions, psychology and mechanics by means of human system surveying, physiology,
psychology and biomechanics. Ever since the 1970's, Human System Engineering Science has
been developing at quite a fast pace. In Europe, it is generally called Humanity Working
Efficiency Science."
There are many branches or schools of human
body engineering science. In the East, especially in Chinese speaking areas, there has
been many gaps in its development. I became a pioneer in the Orient by establishing this
course of learning at Shenzhen University in China in the late 70s. Based on the theory of
European Human System Engineering Science, not only have I founded a new academic school by
applying my own supernatural power to directly serving people and closely following with
interest the destiny of humankind, but also I have set up my own theoretical system of
Physiology, Fortune, Environment as well as the Five Key Factors, all based on my own
studies and research of Heaven, Earth and Humanity.
a. The Heaven
1. Natural celestial body, including all
universal nebulas, stars, planets, meteors, asteroids, comets, meteors, meteorites, etc.
and weather, i.e. all atmospheric physical phenomena like wind force, rainfall,
air-current, temperature, barometric pressure and so on which directly influence the life
and activities of humankind.
2. Spiritual nature of the inner world of
humankind. Mencius, a great Chinese scholar in ancient times, once wrote: "If you
devote yourself to something, you will grasp the essence. If you grasp well the essence,
you will know well the heavens." The spiritual nature of the inner world of humankind
is the most lofty state and includes God's design, God's will, heavenly principles and
heavenly nature. All religious sects world-wide take heaven as the highest and supreme
realm. For instance, the Heavenly Orientation in Islamism points the direction of
pilgrimage to Mecca; the Paradise in Christianity describes the holy place of eternal
happiness for charitable disciples; the King of Heaven in Buddhism is the God of all
saints in both heaven and earth; the God of Paradise in Catholicism means the God of the
boundless universe.
3. The essential elements in traditional
Chinese metaphysics are the Heavenly Stems. The Heavenly Stems represent numbers of the
heaven which are composed in order with ten numbers of:
The First of the Ten Heavenly Stems
(jia),
The Second of the Ten Heavenly Stems (yi),
The Third of the Ten Heavenly Stems (bing),
The Fourth of the Ten Heavenly Stems (ding),
The Fifth of the Ten Heavenly Stems (wu),
The Sixth of the Ten Heavenly Stems (ji),
The Seventh of the Ten Heavenly Stems (geng),
The Eighth of the Ten Heavenly Stems (xin),
The Ninth of the Ten Heavenly Stems (ren),
The Last of the Ten Heavenly Stems (gui).
The ten Heavenly Stems also automatically
make up in sequence five rows, namely yinyang wuxing or the 5 elements -- wood, fire,
earth, metal and water, which also enable people to count heaven with their ten fingers.
The yinyang wuxing or the 5 elements, held by the ancients to compose the physical
universe, have been often used in traditional Chinese medicine to explain various
physiological and pathological phenomena.
The extension of the ten Heavenly Stems is
as follows:
The 1st & 2nd of the 10 Heavenly
Stems (jia & yi) = wood = east
The 3rd & 4th of the 10 Heavenly Stems (bing & ding) = fire = south
The 5th & 6th of the 10 Heavenly Stems (wu & ji) = earth = center
The 7th & 8th of the 10 Heavenly Stems (geng & xin) = metal = west
The 9th & 10th of the 10 Heavenly Stems (ren & gui) = water = north
From wood comes fire, from fire comes
earth, from earth comes metal, from metal comes water, and from water comes wood. Wood makes fire, ashes become
earth, earth produces metal, metal digs a well and water nourishes wood. They are natural
ecological elements of life and their relation to the environment moves in an endless
circle. However, they can run counter to natural ecological circles if overdone or
hastened as:
Wood gives fire, but excessive wood leads
to conflagration.
Fire gives earth, but excessive fire makes scorched earth.
Earth gives metal, but excessive earth buries metal.
Metal gives water, but excessive metal causes turbid water.
Water gives wood, but excessive water floods wood.
The mutual promotion and restraint among
the 5 elements exist and continue forever. For example:
The extension and spread of tree roots =
wood subdues earth.
The embankment to prevent from flooding = earth subdues water.
The fire goes out with water = water subdues fire.
The melting of metal = fire subdues metal.
The chopping of trees = metal subdues wood.
However, they can also be opposite and run
counter to natural circles if overdone or hastened as:
Wood subdues earth, but excessive earth
scatters wood.
Earth subdues water, but excessive water floods earth.
Water subdues fire, but excessive fire makes water boil.
Fire subdues metal, but excessive metal suffocates fire.
Metal subdues wood, but excessive wood breaks metal.
b. The Earth
1. The natural earth or globe. It is one of
the nine planets in the solar system and where human beings live. The surface of the globe
is composed of rocks of different heights and sizes. From the stratum to the earth's
surface, the earth's crust is about 35,000 meters, the mountains are about 70,000 meters,
the oceans are about 6,000 meters and the volume of the crust is of 1% of the whole globe.
The earth not only has land masses, oceans, mountains and rivers, but also natural
disasters like earthquakes, hurricanes and mud-rock flows. Our globe itself is quite
magnetic and is surrounded by a magnetic field. The force and direction of the magnetic
field are variable according to time and place. These are known as the "Earth's Basic
Magnetic Field" from the inside of the globe and the "Earth's Changeable
Magnetic Field" from the outside of the globe.
2. The geography and traditional Chinese
geomancy (fengshui) in metaphysics originally meant astronomical observation and
geographical survey. In traditional Chinese geomancy, the geomancers have devoted most of
their time to surveying natural geography. Therefore, there have been many theoretical
books on metaphysics all with the word "geography" in their titles, e.g. The
Orthodox Geography (Dili Zhengzong), The Mystery of Geography (Dili Tianji Huiyuan), The
Whole Book of Geography (Dili Quanshu), The True Essence of Geography (Dili Zhenjing), and
so on.
3. Like Heaven, in Chinese yinyang wuxing
theory, the Earth is also divided into branches of:
The First of the Twelve Earthly Branches
(zi).
The Second of the Twelve Earthly Branches (chou).
The Third of the Twelve Earthly Branches (yin).
The Fourth of the Twelve Earthly Branches (mao).
The Fifth of the Twelve Earthly Branches (chen).
The Sixth of the Twelve Earthly Branches (si).
The Seventh of the Twelve Earthly Branches (wu).
The Eighth of the Twelve Earthly Branches (wei).
The Ninth of the Twelve Earthly Branches (shen).
The Tenth of the Twelve Earthly Branches (you).
The Eleventh of the Twelve Earthly Branches (xu).
The Last of the Twelve Earthly Branches (hai).
The 12 Earthly Branches are decided
according to the 12 months of the year. One circle of the moon around the earth is one
month and the moon makes 12 circles in a year. The 12 Earthly Branches, therefore, have
also been used in Chinese tradition to symbolize the year in which a person is born,
symbolized by 12 animals.
The extension of the 12 Earthly Branches is
as follows:
The 3rd & 4th of the 12 Earthly
Branches (yin & mao) = spring and wood.
The 6th & 7th of the 12 Earthly Branches (si & wu) = summer and fire.
The 9th & 10th of the 12 Earthly Branches (shen & you) = autumn and metal.
The 12th & 1st of the 12 Earthly Branches (hai & zi) = winter and water.
And the 2nd, 5th, 8th and 11th of the 12
Earthly Branches (chou, chen, wei & xu) are sitting among the 4 groups. The Heavenly
Stems and the Earthly Branches, with one sign being taken from each group, can form 60
pairs designating a circle of 60 years and hence become the theoretical basis for
traditional Chinese metaphysics.
c. Humanity
Human beings are classified in science as
primates and are ranked in the highest position among all living things. The research into
human system engineering science covers all subjects or branches related to gender, age,
race, consanguinity, destination, fortune, humanity, human nature, human bodies, human
functions, personality, human relationship, human feelings, human sensibilities and human
lives, etc.
B. THE APPLIED FIELDS OF THE THEORETICAL SYSTEM
a. Physiology
This is the research on human functions
both physical and mental, relating to life, health and effect of genetic factors on blood
related people. Based on traditional Chinese medical science, to distinguish, identify and
conduct direct analysis on human system symptoms or diseases and to cure and treat patients
using a combination of modern medical means. It is a bridge between traditional Chinese
medicine and modern Western medicine. Not only does it counteract the weaknesses in
traditional Chinese medicine in treating modern diseases, but it also remedies the
inflexibility and imperfectness of Western medicine which relies on autopsies as the sole
basic research on diseases.
b. Fortune
Organically combined with traditional
metaphysics and modern science as well as applying correct dialectical logic, to predict
the future.
In today's modern world, the rapid changes have made the efficacious traditional
metaphysics lose its balance. Take yingyang wuxing or the 5 elements as examples: During
ancient times, metal, wood, fire, water and earth all existed in a relatively balanced
state. In modern society, however, wood has been replaced almost everywhere by iron and
steel. Metal is used in buildings, vehicles, airplanes and ships and electricity is more
commonly used than fire and so on. It is, therefore, necessary to get rid of waht is not
needed and select and grasp the essence and cream of traditional metaphysics to apply them
to the modern world.
c. Environment
Traditional geography, namely geomancy, has
evolved over thousands of years of experience and practice. It was at the initial stage a
kind of life experience. When our ancestors finally settled down ending their nomadic life
style, they started slowly looking for locations suitable for their settlement and then
built houses to live in. Taking safety into consideration, our ancestors mostly chose
higher ground for settlement to escape floods and wild animals. Gradually the
human-life-related yinyang wuxing or the 5 elements and bagua or the Eight Diagrams (8
combinations of 3 whole or broken lines formerly used in divination) evolved from
here.
With a change of life structure, living
environment and traditional customs in the modern world, the traditional scriptures are
confronting a new challenge. Though still affirming the geomancy of positive residence and
negative residence, it is a must to apply the dialectical relations to making adjustment
in accordance with practical environment and local conditions. These include surveying the
physical features and choosing the ground vein before building a residence, examining the
setup and pattern before decorating the residence, selecting direction before moving into
the residence as well as investigating principal and subsidiary causes and making
arrangements while living in the residence.
d. Five Key Factors
Human System Engineering Science bases its
research on human physiology, fortune and environment directly through the 5 key factors,
namely body movement, voice, features, signature and palm lines. Through comprehensive
contrast and analysis, it is quite able to avoid repetition. Even among twins or triplets,
the fortune of each individual is different from each other.
In modern or ancient times, in China or
elsewhere, there has been no school specializing in the study of body movements, although
there have been quite a number of schools or branches which focus their attention on
either voice, facial features, signatures and palm lines respectively. For instance: The
Book of Voice Judgment (Xiang Sheng Xue) says personality comes from the heart-beat and is
revealed through the voice; the Technique In Listening To Voice (Tingsheng Xiuwu Fa) is a
popular book for blind fortune-tellers; the Mayi Appraisal Art (Mayi Xiang Fa), the
Liuzhuang Appraisal Art (Liuzhuang Xiang Fa), the Luyi Appraisal Art (Luyi Xiang Fa), the
Tieguandao Physiognomy (Tieguandao), the Twelve Stories of the Palace (Shier Gongshuo),
the Five Stars And Six Suns (Wuxing Liuyue) all specialize in physiognomy; the Judgment On
Qualifications (Xiang Zi) and the Judgment On Words (Ce Zi) are specialized books on
personal writing and signatures. As for palm-line reading, China has the world renowned
The Book of Changes (Yi Jing) and Sancai Wuyue; the European school is represented by the
Gypsies, or Romany, and Spain; the American school is headed by Brazil; the British school
is a mixture of both science and philosophy created by Wales. The common point of all
these schools or families is solely single-minded with no infiltration or exchange with
each other.
Human System Engineering Science, however,
not only initially puts forward the theory of body movement observation, but also combines
the 5 factors together in order to achieve an accurate, complete and comprehensive result
as well as to minimize identity, similarity and inflexible probability. In other words,
even twins or triplets share few exact similarities in movement, voice, facial features,
writing and palm lines.
1. movement
An observation of external appearance, gesture, carriage and posture of a person while in
motion.
2. voice
A main channel through which to explore the internal organs of the human system and to be
able to judge a person's health and their future as well. Every spoken sound brings with
it a volume of the internal organs' sympathetic response. Seeing through this sympathetic
response is like holding a magnifying glass to observe directly the internal organs of a
human being.
3. features
A great contribution to both China's traditional metaphysics and ancient physiognomy. No
matter which school or branch of Chinese ancient physiognomy, all fixed their research on
physiognomy into a plane pattern. This plane pattern, like a rigid, inflexible area
coordinate, shows no vivid depth but rather signs of age. Ancient physiognomy ignores the
twinkling facial expression and the outward traces of the state of mind and, especially,
can not expose the difference between external behavior and internal thinking.
Human System Engineering Science, however,
fully respects in theory the facial location names dictated by ancient physiognomy. It
takes these named facial locations as acupoints on which to conduct research. It offers
clear, accurate and complete explanation by reading features in connection with both
superficial phenomenon and life and mental activities.
4. signature
One of the main channels to reveal individual fortunes and a medium of comprehensive
messages from human bodies. There is a well-known Chinese saying "Look at the person,
know well the person". A signature is a gene which accurately and directly reveals
personality, character, temperament, mental activities and life inheritance as well, no
matter how it is written, whether on purpose or casually.
5. palm
By taking traditional palm-reading techniques as a reference, this factor conducts
research on the palm's shape, pattern, veins and lines, in order to find out the secret
codes hidden in the invisible lines. These invisible lines are composed of undulatory
trends, vein layout, blood vessels and appearing colors.
C. THE PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS
In practical applications, Human System
Engineering Science dismisses scanty, superficial and limited old customs and habits like
psychological comfort, conjecture, ambiguity and closely watching every mood and
expression of the person. On the contrary, Human System Engineering Science aims at accuracy
and efficiency based on its theory of physiology, fortune, environment and the 5 key
factors.
When confronting a real problem,
traditional metaphysics generally evades responsibility to excuses of "life-and-death
due to fate", "wealth-and-honor due to heaven" and "all consequences
designated by God". Human System Engineering Science, however, recognizes heaven and
destination in theory but, at the same time, maximizes the space of heaven and
destination. It not only applies its theory to fields not related to heaven and
destination, but also corrects and puts right those which run counter to heaven and
destination. It has proposed and put forward an integrated and efficient theoretical
system ---- the Change of Destiny, the Arrangement of Positive Residence, the Adjustment
of Negative Residence, the Coordination of Written Pattern and the Utilization of
Non-Natural Environment. In the whole system, all parts, factors and elements are closely
connected with one and other, while at the same time, they are quite independent. They
alternately support, respond, complement and benefit one and other.
Human System Engineering Science, with its
flexible and varied functions, has been proved accurate, efficient and applicable.
